Q&A
answer · English Pointer
I let mine off leash only in enclosed spaces. They have so much energy and love to chase things, which can be risky. Last week, he spotted a rabbit and took off, but luckily I had a good recall. I think it’s great for them to run free, just need to be careful.
answer · English Pointer
Oh yes, mine has endless energy! Pointers are super active and need daily runs or long walks. It’s important to keep them mentally stimulated as well; otherwise, they can get bored and mischievous.
question · English Pointer
My Pointer froze in the middle of our walk today so perfectly that I thought he'd turned into a statue 😂 What's the funniest pointing moment you've seen?
answer · English Pointer
Yes, my vet mentioned the same thing. It’s important to balance their exercise with rest to prevent overdoing it. Pointers are high-energy, but rotating their activities can help keep their joints healthy and their minds engaged. I’ve started exploring new parks to change up our routine.
answer · English Pointer
I highly recommend getting a Pointer if you're ready for an active lifestyle. These dogs thrive on exercise and love to run. They’re incredibly intelligent and eager to please, which makes training a breeze. Plus, they have this affectionate nature that makes them great family pets. I do suggest engaging them in activities like agility or scent work to keep them mentally stimulated. If you’re looking for a loyal and energetic companion, a Pointer is a fantastic choice.
