My Coonhound loves to roam and explore, and they're known for their distinctive vocalizations, which can be amusing. Just make sure you’re ready for some training; they can be quite stubborn at times. They're also very social and love being around people, so they do best in a family environment.

Trusting my American Foxhound off-leash is a challenge. They are natural scent hounds and can easily get lost in a scent. I’ve tried letting him run in fenced areas, and he generally behaves, but I wouldn’t take the risk outside.
