Trusting my American Foxhound off-leash is a challenge. They are natural scent hounds and can easily get lost in a scent. I’ve tried letting him run in fenced areas, and he generally behaves, but I wouldn’t take the risk outside.

Off-leash is risky for my American Foxhound. They have a strong urge to chase, and I’ve seen it firsthand,once he’s off, he’s gone. Training does help, but it's not worth the risk for me.

I have to keep my American Foxhound on a leash. He’ll take off after anything that catches his nose. It's better for both of us.
