I was surprised by how affectionate my Bergamasco Sheepdog is. I expected a more reserved breed, but he loves to cuddle and be around us. His coat is a total workout to maintain, but it’s worth it for how unique he looks. They have this quirky habit of 'talking' to you when they want attention, which is adorable.

I didn't expect him to be so gentle with kids. He's a big dog, but he turns into a total softy around them.

The biggest surprise was how protective he is. He really takes his role as a family guardian seriously, even if he looks like a shaggy teddy bear.
