Leonbergers are generally excellent with children. They are gentle giants and have a calm demeanor which makes them wonderful companions for kids. I've seen my Leonberger not only tolerate but actively engage with my little ones. They seem to have an innate understanding of how to play gently. However, it's essential to supervise interactions, just like with any large breed. Socializing them early on helps them adapt to being around children.
