My Lhasa loves to meet people but only after she has had some time to observe them. She'll bark at first, but once she feels comfortable, she’s all about getting attention. I read somewhere that having a Lhasa can mean a lot of protective behavior, and I definitely see that in her. It’s like she’s my little guardian!

My Lhasa Apso can be pretty hit or miss with strangers. Sometimes, he growls to protect his space, and other times, he surprises me by asking for pets right away. He seems to trust my judgment, which is nice. I think it’s a breed thing,they’re known for being a bit aloof until they feel safe.

Once they are in the house, though, he warms up quite quickly, especially if they give him a treat. I've heard that this breed can be quite possessive of their owners, and mine definitely fits the bill. It’s like he wants to ensure that new people don’t take me away from him!
