My Lhasa has a habit of barking at the vacuum cleaner like it’s an intruder. It's hilarious how he tries to pounce on it but then runs away when it starts making noise. I can't help but laugh every time he tries to assert his dominance over it, and then jumps into my lap for safety!

My Lhasa Apso sleeps in my bed every night. I actually look forward to it. They offer a cozy warmth and it’s comforting. Just be prepared for some snoring. Lhasa Apsos are known for being quite the snugglers, so it’s a win-win for both of you!

I would recommend a Lhasa Apso to first-time owners, but with some caveats. They are quite affectionate and loyal, making them great companions. However, they can be stubborn and require consistent training. Grooming is a must since their hair can mat easily, so be prepared for that. Once properly trained, they can be a joy to have around. I’ve gone for a shorter summer cut too, and I think it helps a lot. My groomer suggested it because Lhasa Apsos can get very hot with all that fur. I noticed he doesn’t seem to pant as much and can enjoy our walks more.

Totally normal! My Lhasa thinks she’s the queen. She’ll sit in the center of the living room and act like she’s in charge of everything. They have such strong personalities. It’s funny to see!
