I didn't expect them to be such excellent watchdogs. They bark a lot, and while it's not a huge dog bark, it still makes you aware of what's going on. My Lhasa Apso has a funny habit of following me everywhere, even to the bathroom.

What shocked me most was their loyalty. They watch over you and are incredibly protective, often forming a strong bond with their owners. This breed has a little-known quirk of being very vocal, which means they might alert you to anything unusual happening around the home. I was surprised by how affectionate and cuddly they are, despite their tough appearance.

They can be surprisingly stubborn. I thought my Lhasa Apso would be easy to train, but he sometimes decides he just doesn't want to listen.
