My Lhasa Apso can be a bit standoffish with strangers at first. He tends to bark to alert me whenever someone approaches. Once they are in the house, though, he warms up quite quickly, especially if they give him a treat. One time, my Lhasa Apso decided to steal a whole loaf of bread from the counter while I was in the other room. I came back to find him sitting proudly with it, as if it were a trophy. The funny part was how he tried to carry it away but kept dropping it because it was too big for him. He looked so confused about why it wouldn't fit in his mouth! Now, he gets a lot more supervision when food is out.

I usually keep my Lhasa Apso's haircut short for summer. It just helps him stay cooler during those hot days. Grooming becomes easier too. The shorter coat reduces the chances of matting and tangles, which is a plus. But I also keep some length on his ears and tail, as I think it looks cuter. Regular brushing is still essential even with a shorter cut.
