Totally agree! My Ridgeback pretends to be deaf when he’s busy sniffing around. It’s pretty funny, but can be annoying!

Oh yes, my Ridgeback does that too! It's like he has selective hearing when he’s in play mode or napping. It can be frustrating at times, especially if I’m calling him for dinner. But honestly, it’s just part of their independent nature. They are loyal and loving, but they definitely march to the beat of their own drum.
