Absolutely! My Elkhound has to sniff every single spot on our walks. It can be exhausting, but also amusing to see how he gets so focused.

I wouldn’t trust my Norwegian Elkhound off-leash. They have a strong hunting instinct and can be quite independent. Even in familiar areas, they might wander off if something piques their interest, like a squirrel or a rabbit.
