The biggest challenge I’ve had with my Lancashire Heeler was managing her energy levels. These dogs are known for their herding instincts and boundless energy, which means they need a lot of exercise and mental stimulation. There were days when I felt overwhelmed trying to keep her entertained, especially during bad weather when outdoor play wasn't an option. Finding the right toys and activities to keep her engaged took some trial and error. The good news is, once you find what works for them, it's completely worth it. Just be prepared for the occasional mischief when they get bored!

My Heeler tends to be suspicious at first. When new people come over, he will definitely hang back and observe from a distance. I've noticed if they sit down and ignore him, he’ll eventually approach to sniff. Once he decides they are okay, he will happily jump in for some cuddles and attention.
