My Treeing Walker Coonhound has a pretty reliable recall, but it took consistent training. They can get distracted easily, especially by scents, so I've worked hard to reinforce his recall through positive reinforcement. I love how they are naturally curious, and that enthusiasm makes training fun.

I find that it varies. My Treeing Walker is great in familiar areas but can get sidetracked when we're out on walks. We practice recall often, especially in areas with lots of smells because they are always on the hunt.
