Is it just mine, or does your Whippet refuse to go outside when it's cold or raining?

My Whippet is definitely not a fan of cold or rain. He will just sit by the door and refuse to budge. I've invested in a nice doggy raincoat, which helps a bit, but he still prefers snuggling up inside. This breed really loves to be warm and cozy!

Not just yours! Mine avoids going out in bad weather as well. They’re such delicate creatures when it comes to the cold, and it seems like they really enjoy their comfort indoors. Sometimes, if it’s just too cold or rainy, I’ll take him out quickly just to do his business, then back inside he goes!

Yes, my Whippet is the same.

That sounds like my Whippet too! They seem to really dislike cold, wet weather. If it's drizzling or chilly, he just stares at me like I'm crazy for suggesting a walk. I’ve learned to coax him out with treats or a favorite toy. Whippets are sensitive to temperature, so I always keep a cozy blanket handy for the chilly days.

You're not alone! Mine does the same thing. On rainy days, he seems to think a warm spot on the couch is far more appealing than going outside. I find it funny, but sometimes we do have to brave the weather for a quick potty break. If it’s really unpleasant out, I just let him stay inside where it’s warm.
