He’s fantastic around children; they can pull his ears and he’s fine with it.

My Coonhound absolutely loves kids. He’s super playful and gentle around them, which is a great match. They seem to enjoy his energy and he enjoys their attention. Once, my niece was crying and he went right over to her, wagging his tail and nudging her with his nose. It's adorable how he can sense when someone needs comfort. Just keep an eye on him since he can get a little too excited sometimes, but overall, he's a fantastic family dog.

My Coonhound is great with kids. He plays well and doesn't have a mean bone in his body.

Coonhounds can be a little rambunctious, so I make sure my kids are able to handle his energy. He’s really patient and loving, but he can also get caught up in excitement. I’ve seen him be careful around my toddler, but he also tries to play tug-of-war, which can be amusing. Overall, he’s a great companion for the kids, just keep things supervised and you’ll be fine!

Coonhounds are known for their affectionate nature, and mine is no exception. Whenever my kids have friends over, he becomes the center of attention. They all love to play fetch with him, and he’s learned to be gentle when he takes the ball back. I've noticed he has a funny habit of following the kids around, like he wants to be part of their games. Just make sure to supervise playtime, because sometimes he forgets his size!
